The 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games take place in London. The city is preparing to receive large numbers of visitors, as the holding period from 17 July to 12 August. Olympic venues are divided into three parts: Olympic Park, River area and the Central area.
- The Olympic Stadium which will host the athletics events and opening and closing ceremonies. Is located at Marshgate Lane in Stratford in the Lower Lea Valley. The start of construction of the stadium was the May 22, 2008. The stadium design was launched on November 7, 2007. As an "only stadium with 80,000 seats, is the centerpiece of the 2012 Games, home of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics and athletic events after the games will have 60,000 seats permanently, will also become a new home for athletics and for West Ham United Football Club.
- The London Aquatic Center, site of the jumping competitions, swimming, synchronized swimming and water polo.
- The Velopark, including an indoor velodrome for track cycling competitions and BMX circuit.
- The Olympic Hockey Centre, which will host hockey competitions.
Four covered pavilions, which will host the competitions of basketball, fencing, volleyball, handball and fencing disciplines of modern pentathlon and shot.

2. River area.
Have five main sites in the area of the River Thames:
- The ExCeL Exhibition Centre, for boxing, judo, table tennis, taekwondo, weightlifting, and wrestling.
- The Millennium Dome, for gymnastics and basketball finals.
- Greenwich Arena, for badminton and rhythmic gymnastics
- Greenwich Park, for equestrian competitions.
- The Royal Artillery Barracks, for the shot.
3. Central zone.
- The new Wembley Stadium, will host the soccer finals.
- All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon will host the tennis competitions.
- Lord's Cricket Ground for archery.
- Regent's Park will host the road race events.
- Horse Guards Parade for beach volleyball.
- Hyde Park will host the triathlon and open water swimming 10 km.
And finally, the Olympic mascot, baptized under the name of Wenlock, as the mascot of the Paralympics, called Mandeville, are created from two drops of steel, used for the construction of the Olympic Stadium, a beautiful story that has liked both large and small. And as the audience will like both the color, to give color to steel, have welcomed the bodies of the Olympics pets with beautiful colors: orange, blue, pink ... all this color has been inspired by an animated film.
